The pups are adjusting

Thankfully, after the nightmare move, the pups have been settling in well. We have some roommates in our house so they bark a lot when people come in or out but mostly they have quieted down. The hubs has a job at the university so he is now gone during the day and I am going back on the road to LA this week so the pups will be home “alone” during the day so that will take some adjusting for them. They have never spent days home alone on a consistent basis, which makes them very lucky, but times are a changing.

Mostly the pups lounge around in front of the fire (no change at all from Vegas) or we play outside in the snow, at the park with friends or hanging out at home with friends. Tori loves the snow and Big Carl is adjusting.

  1. I just recently got the iCam app so I could watch live streaming video of the dogs (while Jake was adjusting). If you aren’t familiar with it, you can set your laptop up as the camera and view the feed from your smartphone (from anywhere). It might help you figure out if they are all adjusting well and it will give you glimpses of you babies while you are away!!

  2. Awww. Look at all the cute little snow suits. :)

I bet the pups will adjust to being left alone during the day. It helps that they’ll have each other.

Love them all stretched out in front of the fire.

  3. Hi Y’all!

Hey there Big Carl! You look pretty neat in your coat and boots!

Do y’all like your raised fireplace? I much prefer the ones that aren’t.

So glad y’all are settlin’ in after your moving “adventure”.

Thanks for takin’ the time to stop by!

    Y’all come back now,

  4. From Vegas to Alaska hum I have to contemplate that move. That is definitely a cold paw move.

  5. Was catching up reading past posts – your move sounds like such a nightmare! Ugh. I don’t envy you that part of your journey. The new place is gorgeous – love the fireplace and the pic of the dogs all sleeping in front of it is too sweet! Looks like they’re having a ball!

  6. Glad they have suitable winter gear. Looks like the adjustment process is starting on a nice positive note and that the actual trip North is just a fading memory for the kids. They will adapt and be happy anywhere you are.

  7. We too love the new house! We are happy to see the puppers are adjusting to their new surroundings.

We just read your post about the airlines. Amazing! By the time you’re done with them, I bet they don’t charge you one cent. You go girl!

    Hugs,

  8. I am so glad your nightmare move is over and you are all settling in to your home in Alaska. Luv Big Carl’s booties Ha! :D That fireplace looks so inviting – I would luv to join the pack there myself :D

    Waggin at ya,
    Roo
