Review: SmartFillets

SmartBones has come out with a new product. SmartFillets are a rawhide free dog chew made from chicken. I was asked if I wanted to do a review and I decided that I did.

I was especially interested in these because of the softer than normal chews texture. Big Carl and Tori both enjoy a chew much more after Baily or Mesa has started on it and softened it up.

I gave some small pieces to my pups as samples before I realized they were made in China. Eep. China and chicken not a good combo.

I am sad that these are made in China as the pups loved the softer texture and flavor.

  1. It’s unfortunate that we have to be so careful these days, because I gave our dogs plenty of these kinds of treats–But sadly, no more, and in fact, don’t even give anything with chicken in it these days, which is too bad, our dogs love them.

I hope you’re doing well, and I want to thank-you for your always kind comments on my blog!! :-)

  2. Hi Y’all!

All you peeps have gotten supersensitive to anything for us made in China. Mine check for that before they buy me anything. Too bad. Those sound like a great idea for a chew treat.

    Y’all come by now,

  3. they do look good- but thank you for being honest and saying where they were made– we won’t eat it either,,,, and moms do worry about me chocking so we are very carefuls what I get

  4. I just get apples and carrots for treats unless I can win them on the internet, but Lee always checks to see where they are made. Then sometimes they are made here with imported beef or chicken. Jeez what is a dog to do these days.
Thanks for stopping by my blog
