Inter president Beppe Marotta has described the Coppa Italia as a tournament filled with romance and charm, as the Nerazzurri prepare to face Lazio in the final. “We hold this competition in high regard, and our trophy room is full of glorious achievements from this event. We have reached the final on merit, and we are determined to bring the trophy home,” Marotta said during a public appearance ahead of the match.
The Inter chief also highlighted a recent visit to Italian President Sergio Mattarella, calling it an extra source of motivation for the highly anticipated showdown. “Being invited to pay respects to President Mattarella has added even more drive and inspiration for this sold-out final,” he added.
Marotta did not forget to acknowledge their opponents. “Lazio is a team with deep roots and deserves everyone’s respect and praise.”
The Coppa Italia final between Inter and Lazio is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 AM Beijing time on May 14.
