Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon spoke about the significance of captain Gabriel Landeskog’s return to the team after a 5-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild in Game 2 of the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Avalanche remain undefeated in six playoff games this year.
“We waited a long, long time for his return. And it was worth the wait,” MacKinnon said.
Continuing his media session, MacKinnon described how Landeskog improved throughout the regular season and how vital his presence has been in the locker room. Landeskog then interrupted, saying, “That’s enough,” drawing laughter from reporters and teammates.
Landeskog missed three full regular seasons from 2022 to 2025 due to a severe knee injury.
